We will kick off with a little welcome drink and a little introduction so everyone can meet each other! (Don't worry, you don't have to come up with an "interesting fact" about yourself..!)

The Drawing Part...

Depending on how much time we have left after all of that, you will have a chance to make more drawings, create your own stuff, play around and embellish your work. Happy days!

Welcome to the Ugly Art Drawing & Watercolour Painting Workshop! Join us on Wednesday 15th January 2025 at 6:30pm at Ohma Studio in Friedrichshain for a fun and creative event!

Get ready to unleash your inner artist in this class as we dive into drawing and watercolour painting techniques. No experience necessary - just come with an open mind and a willingness to get creative!

Our workshop will be led by Ness, an artist who will guide you through the process and help you create your own masterpiece. It's a great way to spend some time after work - surrounded by creativity and like-minded individuals. With only 8 seats, it's sure to be a cosy and intimate vibe!

A unique opportunity to explore your artistic side, and play around with materials whilst making some **Ugly** art!

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any prior experience?

No experience necessary! This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, as well as people who have painted lots before! I will help you every step of the way regardless of your experience level.

I'm reeeeeeaaaaaalllllyyyy bad at art.... will I enjoy it?

My aim is to make you feel super comfortable creating your artwork! We will make ugly drawings, cool paintings, and everything in between. No judgment here!

What language is the workshop held in?

The workshop will be held in English :) (I can speak okay-ish German too if absolutely needed!)

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself! I will provide all arty materials for you to use.

Do I get to keep my artwork?

Yes! You can take home everything you make, and the beauty of watercolour is that it dries quickly :)

I want to come but I can't find anyone to come with...

This event is perfect for you to come on your own and to have a nice evening meeting new people! That said, if you want to bring your partner, or mate, feel free :) It is a small space with just 8 places so it should be a nice cosy and inclusive vibe.

Is this event child-friendly?

The vibe of the event is more catered to adults, a chance to meet new people and socialise a bit. If you wish to bring your children, get in touch and we can chat!

NessDoes Painting Workshops

Nessdoes is run by Ness, a painter and ceramicist originally from the UK, living in Berlin. She graduated from UAL with a degree in Art and has worked in prestigious Art shops, developing her knowledge of materials and furthering her artistic practise. Ness works primarily with watercolour paints and fineliner pens, as well as acrylic paints when working large scale. She has been running Art workshops for over 10 years across the world, and is currently enjoying developing her workshops to help other people connect and bring their creativity to life!
