The speakers:

Meredith Thomas

Meredith is an artist and creative technologist based in Berlin. He studied biomedical engineering and science communication at Imperial College London. After moving to Berlin he became interested in creative uses of technology. He has worked to create transmedia experiences in virtual reality, for multimedia installations and for the stage. His work focuses in particular on novel uses of machine learning in creative domains and critiquing the broader technological and cultural manifestations of artificial intelligence.

Lila Schulz

Lila Schulz is a trained political scientist and works in the education sector for the Municipality of Munich. Since 2018, she has been engaging as an actress at Rationaltheater Munich. In the play 'DSCHINN‘ (10-11/2024) she collaborated with AI for the first time on stage - interacting with political theorist Hannah Arendt, physicist Albert Einstein and musician Rio Reiser. Every single performance turned out to be a unique und unpredictable experience.

Moritz Lobeck

Moritz Lobeck studied musicology, urban sociology and psychology at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He worked as a curator and communications consultant in Berlin and as a dramaturge at the state operas in Stuttgart, Berlin and Vienna, among others. From 2011 he was dramaturge and head of marketing/development at the Stuttgart State Opera and from 2014 curator at the Wiener Festwochen. Since 2019, he has headed the international festival DTZM - Dresdner Tage der zeitgenössischen Musik and is Programme Director for Music and Media at HELLERAU - European Centre for the Arts. He has been working regularly with the artist Brigitta Muntendorf since 2020. Together they have since conceived concert and music theatre projects such as ‘Covered Culture’, ‘MELENCOLIA’ or ‘ORBIT - A War Series’ for festivals such as Kyoto Experiment, Bregenz Festival, HOLLAND Festival or Venice Biennale.Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
