Tape Art Session / Create your own Artwork - Monthly Workshop

Let's create with tape! In this 3-hour workshop designed for kids aged 6–13 (accompanied by a guardian), kids will explore the exciting possibilities of tape art—a fun and accessible way to create bold, unique designs using vibrant adhesive tapes. In this workshop, one of our seasoned tape artists will guide young creators through the basics of tape art.

The workshop is hosted in "easy" English, but is mostly a hands-on experience where language shouldn't be an issue.

Kids will learn how to cut, layer, and arrange vibrant tapes to bring their own unique designs to life. From clean geometric lines to playful curves and bold patterns, we encourage following the imagination and experimenting.

Previous experience?

No previous experience required, and no artistic skills, either! You’ll be amazed at how good your art looks, even if you don’t consider yourself artistically inclined. If you work artistically in other mediums, come give tape art a try! It’s meditative, forgiving, and delightfully tactile.

Clothes that can get dirty?

No painting clothes needed – at our tape art workshops, you won’t get dirty or damage your manicure!

If you’d like to buy yourself a drink while you’re here or you need to pay for your registration in person, please bring cash!

Art supplies?

We provide all the supplies you’ll need. The only thing you need to bring is your curiosity – and maybe a friend! If you’d like to buy additional tape art materials, we sell fun packs with colors you can pick out yourself, and more!

Kids?

We welcome kids as the artists at our kids tape art workshops taking place 10:00-13:00. The suggested age range is 6-13 years old. Please note, a guardian is required to be present through the duration of the workshop. Guardians who would like to create their own artworks should sign up as well; otherwise we assume you’ll be here to support and supervise your child. Our 14:00-18:00 tape art workshops are for adults only.

Dog?

Dogs are welcome at the studio during our adults workshops 14:00-18:00.

Friend?

Tape art is a great activity to share with friends! Please simply select the appropriate number of participants when you sign up. Or, you can direct your friend to our registration page where they can sign up themselves. It is also possible to register in person at the workshop if we still have open spots. Since space is limited, we recommend signing up in advance. Please note that registration at the door costs 55€.

Birthday party?

We’d love to celebrate with you! If you’d like to register a group for one of our workshops, please send us a DM on Instagram so we can ensure there is space for your party. It’s also possible to book your very own private tape art workshop at our space. Get in touch!

Own item to make my tape art on?

We provide an A3 sized MDF board for your tape art. If you’d like to apply your tape art to your own item, go ahead and bring it with you! Note that our tape will stick well to smooth surfaces. It will not stick well to textured materials. The tape will stick best if you bring your item clean and dust-free.

Do you have…

Drinks?

Before, during, and after the workshop, you’re welcome to grab a drink at our self-service cash bar where we sell lemonade, mate, beer, cola, and juice. If you’re looking for more substantial food and drink (including great coffee), we recommend popping over to Cafe Augusta, right next door to our studio.

Bathrooms?

Yes! We have an all-gender bathroom with stalls.

Wheel-chair accessible entrance?

While our entrance is wheelchair accessible and our workshops take place on the ground floor, our bathroom is located in the basement with no elevator. Cafe Augusta, right next door to our studio, has a bathroom on the ground floor.

Will I leave with…

A finished artwork?

You will be provided an A3 sized MDF board onto which you can apply your tape art. The workshop duration allows plenty of time to experiment with the materials and complete a standard artwork.

Supplies for more tape art?

If you discovered your new passion and want to create more tape art on your own, we sell fun packs of tape in colors you get to pick yourself. Additional supplies like boards and knives can also be purchased.

Gift certificates?

An afternoon being creative in a new medium is a beautiful gift! Our gift certificates are coming soon. DM us if you’re interested!

What if…

I need to cancel?

If you need to cancel your registration, please send us a DM on Instagram. Cancellations at least 48 hours prior to the start time of the workshop will be refunded. We’re unfortunately not able to refund cancellations for any reason that come in less than 48 hours in advance.

I need to cancel but I’d like to attend a different session instead?

If you need to transfer your registration from one date to another, please send us a DM on Instagram. Requests to transfer registration dates are possible for no additional fee if you contact us at least 48 hours prior to the start time of the workshop you originally booked – and – there is an open spot in the workshop you’d like to attend. We’re unfortunately not able to accommodate requests for registration date transfer for any reason that come in less than 48 hours prior to the start of the workshop.

I can’t pay for my ticket online and I’d like to pay in cash when I arrive?

If you prefer to pay for your workshop registration in cash, please send us a DM on Instagram to register. Please bring exact change to the workshop. It is also possible to register in person at the workshop if we still have open spots. Since space is limited, we recommend signing up in advance. Please note that registration at the door costs 55€.

I want to attend a workshop, but it’s already fully booked?

We’re so glad you want to tape with us! We offer tape art workshops monthly, so go ahead and book your spot for next month! If you’re absolutely determined to attend a workshop that’s already fully booked, send s a DM on Instagram and we’ll figure it out.
