At our esteemed Songwriters' Circle, you'll get an exclusive listen to stripped back songs, performed by the writers themselves, as well as new material from the most talented, up and coming songwriting students in the UK. This event will be the first of ICMP's Songwriters' Circle events in Liverpool and will foster meaningful connections and opportunities for all who attend. Open to all, the Songwriters' Circle attracts musicians, music lovers and industry alike. You won't find a more unique, welcoming and intimate event whilst studying with us at ICMP.

This Songwriters' Circle will be hosted by Shane Beales, who is a prolific singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist who has independently released 3 albums, 4 EPs and, in one calendar year, 52 singles. Shane’s music has received airplay and recognition on Channel 4, BBC Radio 2, 6Music, and BBC Introducing. His music has been described by The Guardian as “yearning, electro-flecked and melodic songsmithery”

Our performers include; Hannah Rose Platt, who is an acclaimed singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and storyteller, who merges with sinister authorial prowess and incandescent vocals.

Using genre as a vehicle for story, Hannah weaves magic into the mundane exploring beauty in the shadows, infusing emotive, versatile soundscapes with multi-faceted narratives and plot twists. Born and raised in Liverpool where she wrote her first songs and began cutting her teeth on the local live circuit, Hannah Rose Platt is now based in Bristol where she has become an established figure on the UK music scene.

Tom Williams who is the Lead Guitarist and Main Songwriter for the Liverpool Sextet ‘Red Rum Club’. The bands music has accumulated over 33 million streams across various platforms and their most recent album ‘Western Approaches’ landed the bands first UK Official Charts Top 10.

Ellie Keegan is a Singer Songwriter from Nottingham, now thriving in Liverpool's vibrant music scene, Ellie brings a fresh and soulful-indie vibe to the stage. Her debut single, 'Heat', has racked up over 30,000 Spotify streams, and her live performances - powered by a loop pedal and stomp box - leave audiences spellbound. Harriet Perring is a London-based singer-songwriter from Somerset, blending pop, folk, and country influences. Her sound combines catchy hooks and emotive lyrics, drawing comparisons to Noah Kahan and Phoebe Bridgers. With a background in classical and musical theatre, her live performances are captivating. She holds a psychology degree and has a surprising past in voice acting - if you've seen Peter Rabbit or played Lara Croft, you might know her voice!
