What makes someone a Hero or a Villain? How do we decide whether someone is good or evil? In the words of Wicked’s Glinda: “Are people born Wicked? Or do they have Wickedness thrust upon them?”
These questions are at the core of what makes us human, so it’s no surprise that they also form a central part of the stories we tell. Now, Encore! Musicals Berlin e.V. invites you to ponder this oldest of questions through the songs of stage and screen.
Heroes vs. Villains is a one-of-a-kind concert running from January 31 to February 2, featuring songs by the characters we commonly think of as the heroes or villains of some of history’s most famous musicals, including Wicked, Beauty and the Beast, Hamilton, Into the Woods and the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Join us for an unforgettable experience at the Hotel Continental - Art Space in Exile, where audiences of all ages will laugh, cry, and cheer. Founded in 2022, this unique performance venue was created to support artists from Ukraine and other countries affected by war and persecution. It regularly showcases independent artists, providing a vital platform for creative expression. In a time when the arts in Berlin are facing significant challenges, the continued success of this space is more crucial than ever. We are incredibly proud to partner with such an important cultural hub.
