From 22nd to 26th April 2026, Europe’s largest international student film festival will once again bring different films, voices, and people to Potsdam. For five days, an event of cultural diversity will be created and cinema will be celebrated as a place of encounter and networking.It is the international, courageous and exciting perspectives of young filmmakers that Sehsüchte offers visibility and creative space to develop The world’s up and coming filmmakers, industry audiences, as well as cinema enthusiasts and a young festival team enter into an eye-to-eye exchange with each other and generate new impulses and innovation through inspiring films, workshops, and discussions.The motto of Sehsüchte 2026 is "What's left?". In the 55th edition of Sehsüchte, we want to direct our view into the past, present, and future under the motto What’s left?. What’s left? wants to know what remains — of our ideals, our home, our hopes and fears, and of a world we want to believe in.
