Join us for a captivating fall colors expedition!
We’ll immerse ourselves in nature, engaging in observation exercises while walking through the Beelitz-Heilstätten Park, a special place that has been around since 1898 and has been open to the public since 2015. There, we will explore the microcosm of the forest floor and enjoy a panoramic view of the forest canopy from a 36-meter-high observation tower and a a tour through the treetops over 700 meters long and 23 meters high, providing an all-around visual experience and understanding of autumn's vibrant hues. Throughout this journey, we’ll discover tools that empower us to work with color effortlessly and purposefully.
If you find joy in drawing, painting, photography, or simply have a curiosity about color, this workshop is designed with you in mind. It offers a gentle space to nurture your passion and explore how to apply your skills in your professional life. We invite you to join us in experiencing the serene beauty of fall through a colorful lens.
In this workshop we are going to:
- Explore nature's autumn colors while walking through the Beelitz-Heilstätten tree walk park.
- Catch colors in the wild to create your own collections.
- Learn about the interplay between colors and nature's shapes in visual language.
- Receive your very first TonoLab journal, where you can document, experiment, and make your own notes and color explorations.
- Learn theory about different color contrasts and how to observe them more clearly in nature.
- Receive a window tool to observe more precisely and record different chromatic compositions in the landscape.
- Experiment with markers, colored pencils, watercolor, or gouache, applying the color contrast teachings to small illustrations.

About the materials:
We encourage you to bring your own preferred materials that are easy to carry in an excursion, we also recommend not to bring oil paints due to the special requirements needed to use that technique.
We also will have some watercolors and other materials to try out!.
We will provide:
- Your own TonoLab Journal to record the experience
- A window framing tool
- An offering of warm tea and Mate are also included.
Train tickets and entry fee to the park are not included. Every participant should buy their own.
Participants of all skill levels are welcome!
