Welcome to the Creative Writing Workshop - Write a Story.

In these in-person workshop series, we meet each month for writing and connecting . We focus on one specific theme and reflect on it with the help of prompts in a supportive group.

The theme of September is writing a short story. You will receive a specific setting, character and plot through games. I will guide you to write a captivating short story with these elements.

In the workshop you can write in any language and form you prefer. The diversity is celebrated in our community. The workshop will be conducted in English.

If you are curious about the structure of the event, please refer to the Agenda above.

Who can join the Workshop?

Who is the event host?

Hi, I am Cemre. I live in Berlin since eight years. I am in a continuous learning phase; studied law, worked as a team lead, involved in NGOs, developed my leadership skills and created inclusive communities. In 2023, I fell in love with storytelling and immersed myself in creative writing world.

Cemre Nur Öztürk (she/her) explored writing as a medium to bring joy into her life during her career break in 2023. Writing gifted her both joy and a community.

She organises creative writing workshops, where participants have the space to turn inwards and explore their inner landscape. With the help of prompts and games, writing becomes a social activity, where participants can also share their texts and receive encouraging feedback from each other.

Two of her greatest joys are helping others to discover their creative potential and co-creation. She co-hosted the "Dreaming Awake" zine workshop and published a printed book "Station to Station" with her writing community. Station to Station has been awarded in the category of best local stories-Berlin in Thalia Storyteller 2024 contest.
