Come join us for a fun dance workshop and jam session to connect with others and flow on the dance floor!

Connection and Flow Workshop This workshop will provide a space for you to explore, be curious and find new ways of moving - alone, with a partner and in a group. It is based on the Liberato methodology with added sprinkles from movement culture and a variety of partner dances. This workshop is for everyone who wants to enrich and broaden their skills in partner dance (zouk, fusion, kizomba, contact improv etc.) OR would like to find new ways of moving, experience something new and connect with others through movement and touch. No skills are needed, experience in partner work/ movement/ dance is welcome. There will be no gender based separation on leading and following and everyone will be invited to explore both roles. We won't learn any figures/choreography. Instead we will explore concepts instead that you can apply in your own creative way.Themes for the Workshop: -Partner work/dance -Playful exploration of leading and following -Body awareness -Flow -Finding stillness -Creativity -Non-verbal communication and conscious listening -Consent and BoundariesThe doors will close at 16.15 so please be on time! Danza Con Calma - silent social/jam a place to be, relax, connect and flow with each other Will will start the session with a guided intro where we will arrive in our bodies and groove in some ideas and ways of connecting with each other through movement and dance. Accompanied by sprinkles of the piano and moving musical landscapes we will dive into a non-verbal space and let our bodies do the rest. It’s great if you already have some dance and movement experience, however this space will be held accessible to all! Come as you are ! We usually have dancers with various backgrounds joining such as zouk, tango, fusion, contact improv… etc. Please commit to the entire social, especially the beginning, as we are creating a safe space and a shared vibe.
