Global climate change is inseparably linked to human behavior. The winter school addresses the psychological factors in human behavioral contributions to current and projected changes in climate as well as the psychosocial impacts of climate change. How do we understand the risks of climate change and what are our options for intervention? How do individuals and groups cope with the perceived threats of heat, extreme weather events, and permanent changes in environmental systems? The underlying theme of the school will be the analysis of the role of psychologists in both research and clinical settings in managing the challenges posed by the environmental changes of our time.
